Superhero Capes!

A friend of mine asked me to consider making superhero capes for her son's birthday party. After doing a little research, I decided to take on the challenge! My friend gave the capes as party favors.  I made a cape and superhero mask to give to my little nephew for Christmas. I will include pictures of it too! If you are interested in purchasing a superhero cape, click on the miscellaneous items tab at the right. Here are some pictures:

Sleep Sacks

I have been wanting to try to make a sleep sack for a while now. I have a sweet friend who just found out she is having a little girl, so I jumped on the opportunity to make her one for little Adelyn Camille. It's for my friend Courtney, and she doesn't even know I have made it for her.  I also made her a matching burp cloth. Here it is!  Surprise Courtney! I hope you like it!

Sister Set

I recently made my first pillowcase dress for a teacher friend of mine. She has two sweet grand daughters and asked me if I could make a onesie set for her newest little sweetie and make a matching pillowcase dress for her oldest grand daughter. I think they turned out really cute and I must say, my little models are adorable!

Biggest Pair Yet!

Jeremy's brother has been bothering me for weeks to make him a pair of Puddles and Bugs shoes, so I delivered!  This giant pair of shoes are a size 11! I thought they would be easier to make than the tiny baby shoes, but NOPE! It took me two hours to make these skis! I had to create a pattern using a trace of his giant cowboy boot, and I think it took about four yards of fabric (a little exaggeration, of course) to make them!  I couldn't resist monogramming "Uncle Timmy" on the heel of each shoe and OF COURSE I had to do a little advertising and put a Puddles and Bugs tag in each shoe. :) Jeremy was gracious enough to model the shoes for a picture!

New Girls Vintage Hankie Shoes

Introducing the Girl's Vintage Hankie Collection!

All of the shoes in this collection are made with vintage handerchiefs purchased at local antique stores. Because of the inability to find more hankies with the exact same print, these shoes are not available to be made in other sizes. All shoes in this collection are size 0-6 months. Prices are $17 due to higher cost of materials.

Click on the link for vintage hankie shoes under the pages tab on the right. I hope you like them!

New Business Logo

I am so excited to say that Meredith at M Originals has created a new logo for Puddles and Bugs! I absolutely LOVE her work and would like to recommend her to anyone who may be interested in finding a new logo for their business.  She can also do business cards and note cards and many other services as well!  I have made fabric tags for my shoes and onesies with the logo she created and I love them! Thanks, Meredith! Please visit her blog for more information on what M Originals can do for you!

Gold Mine!

My very sweet friend Courtney and her sweet sister Brittany gave me a kabillion fabric swatches to use however I choose!  What a blessing!  I cannot wait to get started making shoes out of these awesome fabrics. You would not believe the cute swatches and the endless possibilities I have with this sweet gift.  Courtney and Brittany... all in one day you recycled :) and made a friend extremely excited!  You girls are the best! Thanks a million!  One more thing... any new addition to the family, Courtney and Brittany, is going to be one well dressed kiddo! :)

Onesie and Shoe Sets for Twins!

I received my first custom order for a set of twin girls! Each set is made with the same fabrics, yet I used different flowers and contrasting fabric and thread colors on each one so they would have a little different look.
If you are interested in one of these sets or maybe just the shoes or the onesies, please let me know.  I am going to have to charge a little more for this particular onesie...It will be $20 instead of the regular $15.  It was a DOOZY sewing around all of those flowers!  Here is what I came up with:

Terri's Camo Shirt

OK... I received a call from a friend interested in a cute shirt with camo on it. She didn't want to wear one of her husband's t-shirts... she wanted something a little "girly". I accepted the challenge and came up with this tank top.  I made her camo flowers using tulle, cotton fabrics, camo fleece, and brown corduroy. I also used cute buttons to frill it up a bit. I used velcro to attach the flowers to the shirt so we could take off the camo flowers and make other flowers to put on the shirt later. Also, you can take the flowers off before you wash the shirt, so the flowers will stay pretty and fluffy. I also made her a cute head band to go with it.

There's a New Sheriff in Town...

and his name is Porter!  My little cousin Porter turned one on August 1st and I couldn't resist making him this little sheriff vest. It was a big hit at the party!  It wasn't perfect by any means, but it sure got some good laughs at how cute he looked!  Judson has a coon skin vest his Grandmom bought for him, so I used his vest as a pattern as best I could.

Open House

Tonight my friends and I had an Open House to showcase all of our handmade items we have been making.  We had so much fun visiting with one another. We had a wonderful turn out of shoppers as well! It was so much fun getting to see what all of my friends have been making and also to get some feedback from them on my items as well!  Here are some pictures from our night.
Hi Leslie! Hi Jill!
