My Mom came to Tyler for a visit and I was discussing with her how I wanted to make a pair of shoes that look like a horse. So, we went to Hancock Fabric to buy some supplies for me to give it a try. As I paid for my materials, I casually picked up a flyer by the register about their "Funtastic Fleece" Contest. Well, it just so happened that the material I bought to make my shoes out of was FLEECE. I told my mom that if my shoes turned out decent, I just might enter them into the contest. To make a long story short, I received a call tonight that I won FIRST PLACE!!!! I cannot believe it! I won a $100 gift card and I plan to use part of my card to purchase fabric to make Judson a new diaper bag. I am so excited!!! Here are some pictures of my shoes I entered in the contest:

"Pay it Forward" Pin Cushions
I found a tutorial for a pin cushion a while back that I have been wanting to make. http://theobjectproject.typepad.com/the_object_project/2009/08/tea-cup-flower-series.html
Mine didn't turn out quite as cute as hers, but here are my creations:
This is what I decided to make for my Facebook "Pay it Forward" friends. I hope you like them, girls!
